KIDS
KIDS
We believe it is important to build children’s lives on the solid foundation of Jesus Christ; that begins at birth through the elementary years. Maranatha is a place where kids are accepted and loved in a safe and educational setting. We want kids to want to come to church and start preparing their lives for all that God has for them.
WHAT WE TEACH
Your kids will experience an age appropriate lesson that will teach them about God and His love for them. The teaching is interactive and utilizes multiple approaches for different learning styles. The goal at Maranatha Kids is for kids to understand who Jesus is and how He can make a difference in their lives. They will also have a lot of fun!
FRIENDS ARE ALWAYS WELCOME
Our team members share the love of Jesus in a safe and joyful environment. All ages other than infants have a time of worship, Bible lesson, prayer, craft, and snack.
Early Childhood is separated into 3 age appropriate rooms: Birth to Walking, 1 – 3 year olds, and 4 to 5 year old Pre-kindergartners.
We have a great time of prayer, worship, Bible teaching, building relationships and having FUN! We use many techniques to teach Biblical truths and concepts.
Our D Team is open to girls and boys in 4th through 6th grade and meets Wednesday nights from 5:00 until 6:15 p.m. during the school year working on growing mentally, physically, spiritually, and socially. Kids learn to serve through puppet ministry, worship team, and media team.

EXPERIENCE THE JOY OF SERVING KIDS!
PRE-REGISTER YOUR KIDS
We're raising up the next generation of world changers to love God and His house!
As an evangelical church, we do not baptize infants but rather offer them in a dedication ceremony. In this way, the parents pledge to raise the child in an environment where God’s Word and ways are modeled and practiced, and the child is urged to make a personal decision to follow Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. The Bible tells us to believe in Christ, repent, and then be baptized. As the child grows, we prepare the child to choose to demonstrate his/her commitment to Jesus by being baptized.
During the dedication service, the parent(s) and child join the pastor on the platform, along with all invited friends and family, as the pastor explains the significance of dedication. He then has the parents pledge commitment to raising the Lord’s child, as well as the congregation in assisting in providing opportunity for this child to grow in the Lord. Lastly, he prays a blessing over the child and parent(s). When the prayer is done the pastor presents the parent(s) their child as a visual reminder that this is a child of God placed in their care.
Are you or your child ready for water baptism?
We encourage kids to be 10 years or older to participate in water baptism. We also encourage parents to participate in the baptism by being up on the platform or on the beach to celebrate their child’s decision. This reinforces that they are the spiritual leader in your child's life and helps us to partner with them.
Why should I be baptized in water?
Water baptism symbolizes the personal commitment we have made to Christ while showing others we have asked Jesus into our life and we want to live for Him.
When we are baptized, we are completely immersed in water to show that our selfishness is dying and we are rising from the water to begin a new life in Christ. Matthew 28:19 tells us to be baptized “in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.”
Jesus said we are to follow his example and be baptized in water (See Mark 1:1-11).
