To Know and Introduce Him Part XII

Sermon Series:

To Know and Introduce Him Part XI with Pastor Mike:

In this week's message, Pastor Mike reminded us that the heart of our faith is simple but not easy: love God and love people.

We’re called to Love Him—with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength (Mark 12:28–30). Jesus makes it clear that loving Him means prioritizing Him above family, comfort, and even our own plans (Matthew 10:37–39; 8:18–22). He doesn’t want part-time devotion—He wants our whole life. The question He asks is, “Do you love Me?” We’re challenged to Love People—the second greatest commandment (Mark 12:31–33). This love isn’t just words; it’s action. We saw this in Isaiah’s call for justice and compassion (Isaiah 1:11–17) and Paul’s teaching in 1 Corinthians 13 about what real love looks like. Jesus’ story of the Good Samaritan (Luke 10:25–37) pushes us to: open our eyes to the needs around us, open our hearts with compassion, open our hands to help, open our schedules to make time, open our wallets to be generous. Finally, in John 13:34–35, Jesus gives us a new command: to love one another just as He loved us—sacrificially and visibly—so that the world will know we are His disciples. This week, and every week, let’s not just say we love God—let’s show it by how we love people.

Trust Me - Complications - Part VII with Pastor Mike: Proverbs 3:5–6 calls us to trust God completely, but our biggest obstacle is our own flesh. The call is to reject the world’s pull—lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes, and pride of life—and choose a renewed, obedient life that truly trusts God.

Testimonies of God's Grace with Gordon Bates: God’s grace isn’t just a belief—it’s a real rescue story. Gordon Bates' message calls us to remember what God has forgiven, to celebrate how He restores, and to share our testimonies so that others can find hope in Jesus.

Trust Me - Part VI with Pastor Mike: Ignorance and poor theology—whether from tradition, trendy ideas, or careless teaching—lead us away from Jesus, so we must study Scripture, worship in spirit and truth, and handle God’s Word accurately with humility and grace.

Trust Me - Part V with Pastor Mike: Our ignorance can shape what we believe about God more than the Bible does. Jesus corrected sincere but wrong beliefs and called people back to Scripture and truly knowing God—not just ideas about Him.

Trust Me - Part IV with Pastor Mike: Pastor Mike’s message reminded us that trusting God gets harder when we forget we have a real adversary who tries to steal, destroy, and sow doubt.

Trust Me - Part III with Pastor Mike: Trust God’s way over your own understanding because He is able and He cares for you (Proverbs 3:5–6). His Word lights your path and equips you to live with wisdom and confidence.
