To Know and Introduce Him Part XIII

Sermon Series:

To Know and Introduce Him Part XIII with Pastor Mike:

This week Pastor Mike reminds us Jesus gave us a clear commission: Go, make disciples, baptize, and teach (Matt. 28:19–20). Salvation is through Him alone (John 3:16, Acts 4:12), and we’re called to reach all nations. In Acts 1:8, we’re told to be His witnesses—starting locally and going global. Be ready at all times (2 Tim. 4:2, 1 Pet. 3:15) because people will believe through our lives (John 17). We are the salt and light of the world (Matt. 5:13–16)—let’s live like it.

A Relationship Worth the Effort - In this message, Pastor Mike begins exploring four simple efforts that can strengthen our relationship with God, starting with this foundational truth: Know that God loves you. From Genesis to the cross, Scripture reveals a God who pursues us even when we hide, fail, or fall short. A strong relationship with God is worth the effort, and it begins by accepting His invitation to come near.

Personal Strength Part II - Pastor Mike encourages, drawing on information from "Margins," that building personal strength requires creating healthy margins in our lives. Because almost everything takes longer than expected, we must learn to say no, limit distractions, simplify our possessions, and prune activities that steal our time and energy. Instead of rushing through a dot-to-dot life, God calls us to see the bigger picture, practice gratitude even in hardship, enjoy the present season, and allow wisdom to develop over time. True strength is not found in constant activity, but in living with simplicity, balance, gratitude, and the discipline to be fully present with God and the people around us.

Personal Strength Part I -Pastor Mike encourages us that true strength comes from living a balanced life. Jesus is our example. He also reminds us, supported by many Scriptures, that there is a time for everything, but life can quickly become overcrowded with responsibilities and activities. Our priorities should flow from our life in Christ and extend into our family, work, and ministry. Personal strength is not doing everything—it is faithfully caring for the whole person God created us to be.

Fear Not with Pastor Orleen Haseltine- In Isaiah 43:1–11, God gives powerful reasons to “fear not.” He has redeemed us, called us by name, promised to be with us, and declared His love for us. We were created and formed for His glory, and He gathers, protects, and strengthens His people. Because we belong to Him and are called to be His witnesses, fear does not have the final word. Our confidence rests not in our circumstances, but in the presence, love, and faithfulness of God.

Trust Me: Triple Bypass - Pastor Mike shares his journey through triple bypass heart surgery. The surgery itself was easy because he slept through it, but the recovery brought dark and lonely days—especially during the nighttime hours in the hospital. The deeper lesson was submission: surrendering fear, uncertainty, and control to God, trusting that He is still leading even in the darkest moments.

Rejoice! with Pastor Robin Bjornson - Pastor Robin reminds us that Scripture repeatedly calls us to rejoice because it helps refocus our attention on God, reminds us of His salvation, provision, and protection, and keeps our emotions in the right place. While emotions are important, they should not lead our lives. As we rejoice in the Lord, our hearts are steadied, our perspective is renewed, and we are better able to love others with God's patient, enduring love.
